I am back to tinkering with Tech.
I have just finished setting up my old Raspberry Pi3 as a media centre for the van. This isn’t the final picture but I am away from the house and not in the van. It’s close enough, jut using a different HDMI splitter. This means that if I am in a signal area that is rubbish I can just turn the plug on and press the HDMI and it switches on the Pi Libre Elec media centre. I have 4 USB sticks, all 256gb attached so there is plenty to choose from depending on our mood.
I am happy with the result, and it’a all attached to the back of the TV.
Really forcing myself to not buy a Pi5 with a nice little case to mkae a mini PC. I just keep repeating to myself that I don’t need it. But then that didnt work when I got this MacBook, which I definately didn’t need as I have 3 other laptops, and that is after giving one of them to my Dad.
I am going to do a kind of diagram of my network with spec details etc – Maybe something I can work into a project as one of the goals I have is to have a good list of what tech I have and what the details are.
